Schoolfundr Named Official Digital Fundraising Partner of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), one of the largest school districts in the country, with over 147,000 students and 184 schools, has chosen Schoolfundr as their official Digital Fundraising Partner. This partnership aims to revolutionize the way fundraising in the district is conducted emphasizing the joint mission to make a significant and lasting impact on young athletes.

During their pilot with Schoolfundr, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools have raised over $250,000 on the Schoolfundr platform and importantly got to keep 100% of what they raised minus standard credit card fees. After a successful pilot with 7 high schools, the school district has decided to roll out Schoolfundr throughout the rest of the high schools and middle schools across the district.

Lori DeMarcus, Athletic Director at Hough High School, one of the pilot schools for the partnership highly recommends Schoolfundr commenting  "Schoolfundr has been instrumental in supporting our school's programs, with 14 programs already raising $100,000 dollars to cover expenses such as new uniforms, equipment, travel expenses, and general program costs.  The Schoolfundr platform has been a game-changer for us because it is easy to use, has great features, we get great customer service and support, and allows everything we raise to go directly to support our student athletes.”

As part of the expanded partnership with Schoolfundr, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has enrolled in Schoolfundr+, a premium offering that provides athletic directors and administrators with additional tools to oversee and optimize all the fundraising efforts across their entire school.  With Schoolfundr+,Charlotte-Mecklenburg will gain access to a tracking and reporting platform enabling the management of all fundraisers department-wide, as well as elevated levels of service, dedicated training and onboarding, custom graphics, all at no cost to the schools or district.

Schoolfundr offers a feature rich and easy to use fundraising platform as well as a dedicated fundraising coach all while staying committed to eliminating platform fees (excluding standard credit card fees), ensuring that more of the funds raised go directly to the intended programs and activities. This approach enables schools within Charlotte-Mecklenburg to maximize the benefits of their fundraising efforts, supporting a wide range of needs from sports equipment and uniforms to tournament travel expenses.
