Schoolfundr Named Official Digital Fundraising Partner of Montgomery County Public Schools Athletics
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), the largest school district in Maryland and one of the largest school districts in the country with over 160,000 students and 211 schools, has chosen Schoolfundr as their official Digital Fundraising Partner for interscholastic athletics. This partnership marks a significant step forward in transforming how fundraising is conducted within MCPS Athletics, with a shared mission to make a meaningful and lasting impact on student-athletes, teams, and athletic programs.
During their pilot with Schoolfundr, Montgomery County Public Schools raised over $235,000 on the Schoolfundr platform, and got to keep 100% of what they raised minus standard credit card fees. After this successful pilot with select high schools, the school district has decided to officially partner with Schoolfundr, providing the benefits of the platform to all of MCPS Athletics.
As part of the expanded partnership with Schoolfundr, Montgomery County Public Schools has enrolled in Schoolfundr+, a premium offering that provides athletic directors and administrators with additional tools to oversee and optimize all the fundraising efforts across their entire school. With Schoolfundr+, MCPS will gain access to a tracking and reporting platform enabling the management of all fundraisers department-wide, as well as elevated levels of service, dedicated training and onboarding, and custom graphics, all at no cost to the schools or district.
Dr. Jeffrey Sullivan, Director of Systemwide Athletics for Montgomery County Public Schools, shared his excitement about expanding the relationship with Schoolfundr. “We are excited to roll Schoolfundr out across MCPS Athletics and to our schools. Schoolfundr offers a feature rich and easy to use fundraising platform, as well as a dedicated fundraising coach, all while staying committed to eliminating platform fees (excluding standard credit card fees) and ensuring more of the funds raised go directly to the intended programs and activities. This approach enables schools within MCPS to maximize the benefits of their fundraising efforts and support a wide range of needs across their programs.
