Southwest ISD Selects Schoolfundr as Exclusive Online Fundraising Partner
San Antonio, TX — Southwest Independent School District (SWISD), serving over 13,200 students across 18 schools, has chosen Schoolfundr as its exclusive online fundraising platform. This partnership represents a significant step forward in enhancing fundraising efforts across the district, with a shared mission to support student programs and activities, ranging from athletics to fine arts and beyond.
Southwest ISD is dedicated to providing a holistic education for students, encompassing a strong commitment to academic success, athletic achievement, and artistic development. By partnering with Schoolfundr, SWISD aims to streamline its fundraising efforts while ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly back into the district’s student programs. During a pilot program with Schoolfundr, Southwest ISD students were able to raise and keep over $150,000 across more than 15 fundraising campaigns.
District Athletic Director Peter Wagner expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating: “With Schoolfundr we get to keep all of the funds that we raise less the fees that the credit card companies take - that is a game changer for our district. We are excited that our community and alumni across the country and world will now be able to support our students, with all of the proceeds going to support our students rather than the large fees that previously would be taken by the fundraising company.”
District Fine Arts Director Richard Flores shared his excitement about the opportunities this partnership will bring to the arts programs within the district: “During out initial pilot we saw the value on how great it was for our student groups to be able to raise funds in a very efficient way and not have to have students going door to door selling products. Fundraising is important because we want to enhance the opportunities that our students get to have, and with Schoolfundr we have been able to raise more funds than we ever have before.
Schoolfundr’s platform offers schools a user-friendly and feature-rich fundraising solution, complete with a dedicated fundraising coach, no platform fees, and tools designed to maximize fundraising potential. This partnership will help SWISD raise funds more efficiently for a wide range of student needs, from sports equipment to fine arts programs and extracurricular activities.
Dennis Levene, CEO and Founder of Schoolfundr, expressed his excitement for the collaboration: “At Schoolfundr, we’re passionate about helping schools succeed in their fundraising efforts, and we are thrilled to partner exclusively with Southwest ISD. Together, we will maximize the district’s fundraising potential and ensure the continued success of their athletics, fine arts, and educational programs by enabling their students to keep the funds that they raise.”
As part of the exclusive partnership with Schoolfundr, Southwest Independent School District has enrolled in Schoolfundr+, a premium offering that provides athletic directors and administrators with additional tools to oversee and optimize all the fundraising efforts across their entire District. With Schoolfundr+, SWISD will gain access to a tracking and reporting platform enabling the management of all fundraisers department-wide, as well as elevated levels of service, dedicated training and onboarding, and custom graphics, all at no cost to the schools or district.
Daniel Choate, Budget and Purchasing Specialist at SWISD, highlighted the financial transparency and simplicity that the Schoolfundr+ platforms offers district administrators: “Tools like Schoolfundr+ allow us the visibility to see what is going on across the district across both athletics and fine arts. Having insights into all of the upcoming, active, and completed campaigns enables us to ensure the appropriate approvals are taking place on the front end, and the financial transparency of each payout on the backend. We are excited to partner with the Schoolfundr team as our solely approved online fundraising platform.”
